© 2013 Groupe Masson - Université de Montréal Summer 2013 Our research group concentrate its efforts on the development of biosensors based on surface plasmon resonance  (SPR) and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Our objective is to develop bioanalytical tools to detect  diseases and the presence of environmental contaminants. In particular, we are aiming to employ biosensors directly  in crude biofluids and complex samples such as untreated surface water. Our research target the following areas of  chemistry:  1. Portable instruments for on-site analysis 2. Surface chemistry to minimize interactions with biological fluids 3. Novel plasmonic materials based on hole arrays.
