As a Ph.D. student in environmental analytical chemistry, Ibrahim Jreije is investigating the detection, characterization and quantification of cerium oxide nanoparticles with single particle ICP-MS. He's studying the effect of different physico-chemical factors (i.e. pH, ionic force, coating, etc.) on the agreggation and the dissolution of the nanoparticles in solution, as well as different instrumental parameters (i.e. Dwell time, introduction system, etc.) in order to improve the sensibility in environmental samples.
